The Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance is seeking a skilled professional to join its Land and Property Services team as a Principal Building Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in coordinating and managing the work of the Property Team in connection with properties owned or administered by the Manchester Diocesan Board of Finance.
  • Manage the workload of the Property Team, which comprises the Senior Surveyor, the Diocesan Buildings Officer, the Apprentice Building Surveyor, and the Property Support Administrator.
  • Undertake property surveys and possess strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with a diverse community of clergy, lay members, and public organizations.
  • Have experience in managing a property portfolio and a working understanding of legal frameworks, including Health & Safety and statutory regulations.
  • Be willing to learn various Church Measures (laws) and be effective in prioritizing and managing time and projects to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Experience in property management and surveying.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of legal frameworks and Church Measures.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
