We are seeking an experienced and skilled nursing professional to join our team as a Head of Nursing Education. As a key member of our education team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our maternity services.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include developing clinical guidelines, implementing midwifery practice development plans, and actions in response to risk case reviews and clinical supervision reviews.

Our maternity services are one of the busiest in London, and we are seeking an experienced and skilled nursing professional to join our team as a Head of Nursing Education.

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the national and local healthcare agenda, knowledge and experience of student pathways, MSW education, and CNST education requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement education plans to meet the needs of our maternity services.
  2. Work closely with the senior midwifery team and Clinical Director to ensure all standards are achieved.
  3. Review and develop clinical guidelines, midwifery practice development plans, and actions in response to risk case reviews and clinical supervision reviews.
  4. Oversight of the training database recording statutory and mandatory training and provide monthly reports detailing compliance within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

You will have excellent leadership and management skills, be able to motivate and inspire your team, and contribute to the strategic direction of our trust.
