Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our brand-new PBS team at YMCA Robin Hood Group. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and staff to promote positive behavioural support and foster a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide additional support to staff and children when needed
- Design, develop, and deliver induction training on safeguarding, positive behaviour support, risk management, and recording and reporting
- Encourage continuous professional development in training areas
- Foster positive behavioural support knowledge transfer to practice
- Support the design and delivery of proactive and reactive key working
- Facilitate reflective debriefs
Requirements:
- Substantial experience working in residential care or a similar environment
- Qualification in PBS or related field, or substantial residential experience with a portfolio of evidence for positive behaviour support skills in practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including assertive listening
- Reflective and responsive practitioner
- Proficient in risk assessment, risk management, and harm reduction
- Ability to manage professional boundaries and contain personal anxiety in challenging circumstances
