A&P Group is seeking a skilled Shipbuilding Specialist to join our team at A&P Falmouth.
Located in one of the world's largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth's facility is a leading ship-repair complex in the UK.
We require a Shipbuilding Specialist with experience in piping systems to work on a full-time, permanent basis. If you have a background in shipbuilding and enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems onboard vessels according to engineering specifications
- Fabrication and assembly of pipes using specialized tools and techniques
- Conducting pressure tests and inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of pipework installations and repairs
- Preparing work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Maintaining a safe and organized working environment
We're looking for a Shipbuilding Specialist who:
- Hold a Level 3 apprenticeship in pipefitting or equivalent, or be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work
- Previous experience in a shipbuilding/marine/heavy industrial environment would be advantageous
- Be able to understand technical drawings
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in their work
- Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
As a Shipbuilding Specialist with A&P Group, you'll benefit from:
