Job Summary

This Learning Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL). As part of our team at Protocol Education Ltd, you will work in a mainstream secondary school setting, providing tailored support to students with SEN and EAL.

About the Position

You will be responsible for implementing evidence-based strategies to enhance language development for EAL students. Your role will also involve engaging EAL students in language-rich activities to foster confidence and integration into mainstream classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
  • Providing one-on-one support tailored to individual learning styles and specific needs, especially for students with SEN.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement language enhancement strategies for EAL students.
  • Preparing teaching materials and ensuring they are accessible and suitable for diverse student needs.
  • Advocating for inclusive teaching practices and contributing to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within our organization.
