**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and provide additional support to students who may require assistance.
  • Adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, particularly focusing on enhancing understanding for EAL students.
  • Provide one-on-one support tailored to individual learning styles and specific needs, especially for students with SEN.
  • Implement strategies to enhance language development for EAL students across reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
  • Engage EAL students in language-rich activities to foster confidence and integration into mainstream classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize behavior management techniques to support students with behavioral or emotional challenges, ensuring a conducive classroom environment.
  2. Offer emotional support and create a safe space for students to express themselves.
  3. Assist in conducting assessments to measure student progress and provide valuable input for educational planning.
  4. Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and support staff to share updates on student progress.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.

About Us:

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.

The estimated salary range for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this is a temporary position, but the option to make it permanent may become available at a later date.
