Job Title: Engineering Team Leader

Imperial Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Team Leader to join our client's team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and improving plant machinery and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of shift engineers and machine minders to ensure daily engineering tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and implement project improvement schemes to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the engineering supervisor to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Qualified multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Experience with PLC/HMI controls and 17th Edition certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
