About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Project Specialist to join our team in Fife on a contract basis. As a Mechanical and Electrical Project Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering capital expenditure projects while ensuring they are successfully commissioned on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Develop requirement specifications in collaboration with Operations, technical & Engineering Safety Compliance teams.">
  3. Deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.">
  4. Develop cost estimates and project schedules.">
  5. Lead the technical and site implementation of projects ensuring they are successfully commissioned on time and to budget.">
  6. Manage the project lifecycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data, monthly reporting, including spend, forecast, commissioning, and project closure.">
  7. Plan and lead installation and commissioning work, managing communications with customer site teams in coordination with product businesses.">
  8. Possess a mechanical and/or electrical background with knowledge of spirit processes or similar in explosive atmospheres.">
  9. Exhibit proficient project management skills (end-to-end project management using a gate process approach) and engineering skills with excellent problem-solving skills.">
  10. Manage the budget of the complete project cycle.">
  11. Be health & safety focused with knowledge of the latest CDM regulations and experience implementing them within projects.">
  12. Have a minimum of 10 years' experience delivering projects.">
  13. Demonstrate good communication skills (verbal & electronic), stakeholder engagement, building relationships with peers, being a self-starter and self-motivated, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment, collaborating efficiently and effectively.">
  14. Hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.">

Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
