Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Social Worker to manage our Children's team in Dudley. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

About the Role

This is a 6-month temporary contract with a competitive salary of £25-£35 per hour (dependent on experience) paid weekly. The role involves working closely with the clinical lead to ensure the effective management of the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • To lead and manage a team of social workers in the delivery of children's services
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for children in care
  • To work collaboratively with other agencies to achieve stability and permanence for children
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A DipSW or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • A current DBS
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of children's social work policies and procedures
