Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our hazardous waste treatment plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the operations team to ensure efficient and safe delivery of services
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance
- Degree in Chemical related science or Engineering
- IOSH Managing Safely certification
- Experience of managing an operational team within the Hazardous Waste industry
- Relevant professional experience, including managing a mixed skills team in a busy demanding environment
- Computer literate/using MS Office applications
- Preparation of risk assessments & method statements
- Leading incident investigations and disciplinary hearings
- Hazardous waste legislation
- Working understanding of ISO 9001,14001 & 45001
- Strong relationship management, leadership and motivational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Natural problem solver, who thrives under pressure and can change priorities with autonomy
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
