Operations Manager

At Biffa, we're committed to providing exceptional waste management services to our customers. As an Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hazardous waste treatment plant, transfer station, and packaged goods transport.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency, minimize waste, and maximize financial performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental excellence.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by reviewing and selecting treatment methods, ensuring site capacity, labor, and resources meet customer requirements.
- Cost Control: Manage costs for treatment, disposal, labor, maintenance, and sundries to ensure the site meets its budgetary requirements.
- Human Resources: Manage human resources to maximize performance, carry out line management functions, and establish departmental policies and procedures.
- Project Development: Participate in the development of new projects and lead project implementation as requested.
- Education: Degree in Chemical-related science or Engineering.
- Certifications: IOSH Managing Safely.
- Experience: Proven experience in managing an operational team within the hazardous waste industry, preferably in Physical-Chemical Treatment and/or Hazardous Waste Transfer Station.
- Skills: Strong leadership, motivational, and relationship management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
