About the Role

We are seeking a Regulatory Risk Specialist to support the development of our UK compliance framework. As a key member of our Business Partner team, you will provide practical, proactive compliance advice and guidance to drive the management of regulatory risk in line with our risk appetite.

You will have a broad remit of responsibilities spanning across all Business Unit lines of business, partnering with colleagues to identify areas of high regulatory risk and support the continued evolution of a proportionate control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and oversee conduct and regulatory risk in the context of projects, product development, bids and tenders
  • Partner with Compliance team members and first-line colleagues to identify areas of high regulatory risk
  • Support the continued evolution of a proportionate control environment to manage key regulatory risks
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting, and escalate regulatory matters as necessary
  • Support first-line teams to assess the impact of regulatory changes and develop necessary controls
  • Oversight of the first line of defence through review of KPIs and follow-up on identified risks

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience within a Compliance function
  • A sound knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and key conduct-related priorities within insurance
  • The ability to independently manage a portfolio of work and balance the demands of maintaining high-quality work and delivering to deadlines
  • The ability to quickly master unfamiliar businesses, processes or products
  • Fully understand the concepts of risk, controls and materiality, and be proportionate when making decisions

Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
