Job Description

As a Vessel Operations Specialist, you will champion our company's mission of safe, sustainable, and innovative shipping. You will oversee the technical operation and performance of assigned dry bulk vessels through external partners, ensuring alignment with our safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental standards.

You will develop, monitor, and control running cost budgets to meet goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will supervise and support the management of the dry-docking process from initial planning through to completion.

Requirements

  • Champion the company's mission and ensure alignment with safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee vessel operations and performance through external partners.
  • Develop and control budgets to meet KPIs.
  • Supervise dry-docking processes.
  • Ensure HSEQ compliance with all activities, including third-parties.
  • Conduct appraisals for onboard ship management teams and external partners.

Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Marine Engineering or Chief/2Eng Engineer.
  • Relevant experience in the dry bulk shipping industry, with operational expertise.
  • Strong technical skills in ship operation and repairs with a high level of data analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills would be advantageous.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
