About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Specialist Teacher to join our team at Belmont Secondary School. As a SEN Specialist Teacher, you will work with pupils who require additional support to reach their full potential.

You will be responsible for identifying individual needs and adapting your teaching methods to meet the unique requirements of each pupil. You will create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment that encourages pupils to thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach pupils with varying levels of need, adapting your teaching methods to meet their individual requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Assess and mark pupil work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement inclusive teaching practices.
  • Use specialist skills, such as Braille or sign language, to support pupils with sensory impairments.

Qualifications:

We require a degree and a teaching qualification, with experience of working with pupils with SEN.
