Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Statutory and Streetworks Engineer to join our team at Virgin Media. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with street works legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply street and road works primary and secondary legislation, and associated regulations and codes of practice.
  • Manage contractor and NRSWA management experience, ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, suppliers, and partners to drive continuous improvement in our working processes.
  • Provide legislative and statutory advice to internal departments, ensuring compliance with legislation and good working practices.
  • Attend local authority meetings and represent the company as the main point of contact for legislative and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience and knowledge in street works legislation and its effect on cable network infrastructure development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate key streetworks issues with varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to build successful relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize well.
