Statutory and Streetworks Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Statutory and Streetworks Engineer to support our team in the south coast region. In this role, you will act as a statutory and legislative advisor, providing guidance to internal departments on streetworks matters.

You will be the subject matter expert in your region, educating and mentoring teams to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to comply with legislation and implement good working practices.

The role will involve collaborating with suppliers, partners, and local authorities to drive continuous improvement in our working processes. You will attend local authority meetings and build strong relationships with external partners, acting as the main point of contact for legislative and statutory requirements.

Another aspect of this role will be to complete and respond to local and national consultations, ensuring our views are highlighted. You will also lead and support any new legislation amendments and industry consultations that impact the business.

As a Statutory and Streetworks Engineer, you will have significant experience and knowledge in street works legislation and its effect on cable network infrastructure development. You will also have experience in interpreting street and road works primary and secondary legislation, and associated regulations and codes of practice.
