Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at LoveAdmin. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software development testing, with a strong background in requirement analysis, test case design, and test case execution. You will be responsible for designing and managing both manual and automated testing, as well as advocating for QA best practices and driving initiatives to improve test and QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement frameworks and best practice processes to support the shipping of great products in an agile environment
  2. Organise, manage and support the QA team, advocating excellence and providing guidance and mentorship
  3. Design/write test plans, acceptance criteria, scenarios, scripts, checklists and procedures
  4. Execute test scripts using manual and automated methods as appropriate and interpret the results accordingly
  5. Define, build and maintain a test automation capability
  6. Plan and execute testing around the product stories and bugs
  7. Oversee the maintenance of the LoveAdmin Dev-ops environment
  8. Support the setup and management of test environments and data
  9. Report, document and verify technical/quality issues
  10. Test within Agile scrum/kanban teams
  11. Participate in sprint stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and other required ceremonies
  12. Work with product to ensure delivered work covers quality and meets the desired outcomes
  13. Work with support investigating quality related customer complaints

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in software development testing
  2. Demonstrable experience in requirement analysis, test case design and test case execution
  3. Experience of testing web-based / SaaS / eCommerce applications
  4. Proficiency in computer technology and programming languages
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Great team player with strong oral and written communication skills
  7. Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  8. ISTQB Foundation certification preferred but not essential
  9. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium IDE is an advantage
