About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Ramsay Health Care. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems across our sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical work, including replacing and upgrading light fittings, and installing new electrical systems and circuits.
  • Upgrade worn-out and damaged accessories, and remove unused electrical systems and circuits.
  • Install dado trunking and similar electrical infrastructure.
  • Replace and make safe any damaged appliances or accessories.
  • Carry out Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM) across site, and take additional responsibilities for electrically based systems.
  • Ensure legal compliance of electrical systems and appliances, including EICRs, PAT testing, and emergency lighting and associated action plans.
  • Provide competent technical, health, safety, and environmental support and assistance.
  • Support the Engineering team in carrying out their role.
  • Review fault logs and allocate appropriate resources to each task within area of responsibility.
  • Participate in the Hospital on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Electrical Installations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Legionella prevention requirements within hospital buildings is desirable, training will be provided.
  • Demonstrated high level of organisation and time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Sound fault-finding techniques.
  • IOSH Health and Safety/Risk Assessment training is desirable, training will be provided.
