Electrical Design Engineer Role

Northampton Business Directory is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Northampton. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive electrical designs, covering schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, and security layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement electrical designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with the Design/Engineering team to ensure all project milestones are met, and provide support as needed.
  3. Participate in design team meetings, both internally and with clients, to effectively communicate design solutions.
  4. Assist lead engineers in gathering and distributing project information to the project team, ensuring seamless project execution.
  5. Utilize software tools like AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux, Microsoft Office, and Revit to create and manage electrical designs.

Requirements:

  1. A Building Services Engineering HNC, or an equivalent degree in a related field.
  2. Experience with CAD software, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles.
