About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Finance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Sustainable Ventures. As a key member of our finance and impact team, you'll play a crucial role in driving our company's ESG strategy while contributing to our financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of long-term projects, such as the annual impact report, and ensure regular impact reporting, including Sustainable Disclosure Requirements (SDR) for funds, is on track.
  • Support investment funds with regulatory SDR reporting and additional portfolio impact assessments.
  • Streamline impact analysis approach for company bid applications and public/corporate programmes.
  • Support the preparation of performance management analysis, including management accounts, KPIs, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by coordinating with various parts of the business, analysing actual and budgeted costs, and supporting bi-annual re-forecasting efforts.
Requirements
  • Qualification/certification in finance, sustainability, or equivalent business experience in these fields.
  • Experience in carbon calculation and statutory accounts, such as UK GAAP - FRS 102.
  • Clear passion for sustainable performance across finance and impact, and understanding the importance of historic reporting and forecasting to drive strategic decision making.
  • Experience in Xero (accounting) and Fathom (consolidation) tools.
  • Experience in carbon accounting software, such as Compare Your Footprint.
  • Basic financial modelling experience.
  • Finance or sustainability degree, with 6 months to 2 years experience in finance and/or sustainability.
