London, Greater London, United Kingdom Mace Full time

Mace is a leading global infrastructure consultancy and construction company that redefines the boundaries of ambition. Our purpose is to create places that are responsible, bringing transformative impact to our people, communities, and societies across the globe.

Within our Consult business, we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential of every project. We are currently looking to recruit a Project Delivery Specialist to strengthen our business area's project delivery unit (PDU) for one of Europe's largest generators of renewable energy.

The PDU team is responsible for the project execution of large-scale infrastructure renewable projects, including onshore wind, solar, and grid services across Ireland and the UK. You will report to the Programme Delivery Director for Grid Services Ireland & UK and work on Grid Services projects primarily, focusing on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and synchronous condenser (Sync Comps) projects.

We value safety above all else and expect you to promote Mace's 'Safety First' culture by exhibiting visible safety behaviors, sharing lessons learned, and using safety moments and Mace's HSW framework to support the safety and well-being of all Mace staff. You will also possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.

In addition to safety, you will ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed in line with Service Excellence. You will manage delivery from project inception through design development and planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes coordinating project teams, external consultants, contractors, and service providers, as well as reporting on project status to the Project Steering Committee and senior management.

To succeed in this role, you will need a third-level engineering college degree, experience in managing renewable energy development projects, and a proven track record of delivering renewable or large-scale infrastructure projects through construction. You should also have a strong electrical and civil background, with experience working on BESS or Sync Comps projects being preferable but not necessary.

A competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum reflects the skills and qualifications required for this position. As a valued member of our team, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including access to training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.

We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. If you're passionate about renewable energy and have the skills and experience to match, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
