About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Team Manager to join our Bucks Mental Health Support Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with a focus on working with children and young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Supervisors, providing clinical supervision and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. They will also be responsible for service development, liaison with the University of Reading, and taking a clinical caseload.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing team and shape the expansion and growth of the service. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of EMHPs and Supervisors, providing clinical supervision and guidance
  • Develop and implement service plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Liaise with the University of Reading to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Take a clinical caseload, providing direct support to children and young people
  • Contribute to the development of the service, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
Person Specification
  • Registered qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health needs
  • Ability to assess client need and provide effective clinical supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
