Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a Control and Instrumentation Technician to join the maintenance department of a gas fired power station in the Immingham area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of all C&I maintenance work across the site to ensure minimum downtime and maximum availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Fault finding, repair work and planned and unplanned maintenance on all C&I assets to maximise plant availability.
  2. Planning and managing the execution of works and closing out work packs.
  3. Assisting with outage planning and execution.
  4. Providing technical support to the operations team when required.
  5. Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers with regards to plant projects and upgrades.
  6. Managing contractors when required.

Requirements:

  1. A time served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering subject such as electrical or electronic engineering or similar.
  2. A relevant engineering qualification at HNC level or higher is essential.
  3. Proven hands-on maintenance experience across control and instrumentation maintenance in a relevant engineering environment.
  4. Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
  5. Ideally experience managing and directing contractors.
  6. A good understanding of all HSE aspects.

Salary and Benefits:

  1. A basic salary up to circa GBP48,500 depending on experience.
  2. A bonus up to 20%.
  3. A further rolling 3 yearly bonus scheme.
  4. Overtime at 1.5x.
  5. Life insurance.
  6. Private medical.
  7. 25 days holiday + 8BH.
  8. Company pension.
