Job Title: Factory Operative

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Factory Operative to join our team at Go To Outsourcing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality timber frame panels for house building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Producing timber frame panels in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Working within various workstations, handling timber frame from delivery to finished product.
  • Cutting materials, inserting thermal insulation, stapling, and fitting.
  • Operating semi-automated manufacturing lines, producing open panel timber frame wall units, and wrapping finished products for transportation.
  • Using hand tools and power tools, including nail guns, drills, and hammers.
  • Assembling wooden frames following technical drawings and quality check of products.
  • Rotating across various departments to gain new knowledge and skills.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety procedures and policies.
Requirements:
  • Own transport.
  • Good level of English.
  • Preferably with experience in the timber frame industry.
  • Willingness to learn and work within any stage of the production line.
  • Flexibility.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and take instruction from Supervisor to complete all reasonable tasks.
Benefits:

  • 12 weeks temporary to permanent position.
  • Pay increases of £12.40 after accepting a permanent contract, private health care, and production bonus entitlement.
  • Each upskill role with additional 0.60p per hour.

  • Forklift accidents, falls, and trips are potential hazards.
  • Manual handling, noise, and power tool risks are also present.

Please note that safety boots, hi-viz vest, client-supplied googles, and ear protectors are provided.
