Job Title: SENCO Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO Lead to provide strategic leadership across both academies. This key role is essential in ensuring that children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) receive an outstanding education, have their needs met, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and coordination of SEND provision across both academies.
  • Ensure the identification and support for pupils with SEND is effective.
  • Provide leadership in ensuring that all children, regardless of their additional needs, have access to high-quality education.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies and legislation.
  • Collaborate with academy leaders to develop and implement improvement plans for SEND provision.
  • Offer guidance and support to staff, ensuring that they have the resources and training needed to meet the needs of SEND pupils.
  • Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including Wakefield Local Authority, parents, carers, and other educational partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of SEND provision and drive continuous improvement across the academies.
