Special Educational Needs Coordinator

The Governors of Snapethorpe Primary School are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SENCO to join their dedicated team. As a key member of the school community, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of our young people and raising standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of special educational needs policy and provision in the school. You will work closely with the Head Teacher to determine the strategic direction of SEN policy and provision, and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the work of the school Learning Mentors
- Developing and implementing the Nurture and mental health and wellbeing provision
- Providing professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
- Line managing the Assistant SENCO
- Ensuring that all safeguarding and child protection matters are dealt with effectively
