Job Description

We are seeking a professional and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our growing Health and Safety team. As a key member of the team, you will assist the business in implementing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety strategies, procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture and contribute to improving health and safety performance.
  • Action any safety concerns raised by employees, managers, safety representatives, visitors, contractors, or members of the public.
  • Assist in the management and development of the Global Safety Framework.
  • Identify training needs for employees and assist with the delivery of training as required.
  • Support the carrying out and review of risk assessments where necessary.
  • Conduct workplace inspections to proactively identify areas for health and safety improvement.
  • Support managers with investigations and facilitate necessary steps to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Prepare health and safety reports and statistical performance data as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with current health and safety legislation.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all departments at all levels.
  • Take an active role in company projects or initiatives that improve wellbeing and health and safety.
  • Engage with the factory floor to facilitate communications.
  • Attend and chair safety meetings as required.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of incident investigation.
