Job Summary

The Medical Imaging Specialist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) is responsible for performing non-invasive and vascular ultrasound testing, providing preliminary interpretation, and managing day-to-day operations to ensure efficient operation of the unit.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate various types of ultrasound equipment to conduct tests and exams.
  2. Analyze results and provide preliminary interpretations to referring physicians.
  3. Maintain accurate records and billing information.
  4. Oversee and test equipment to ensure it is in working order.
  5. Provide instruction and information to medical staff on proper use of equipment and techniques.
  6. Educate patients on risk factors related to their disease.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
  • Registration in Vascular Technology (ARDMS) required.
  • Ability to operate equipment and provide accurate preliminary interpretation of test results.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and students.
Benefits:
