School Place Planning Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Place Planning Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a School Place Planning Officer on a 10-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:- To support the Access and Provision Manager in developing a long-term strategy for education planning in Swindon, ensuring that future demand is thoroughly researched and planned for.
- To ensure that commissioned activity is evidence-based and outcome-focused, with strong partnerships with stakeholders and other partner agencies.
- To lead on statistical analysis of forecast information within place planning areas and present this information to Headteachers.
- To ensure that all activities deliver value for money and expenditure is operated within clear financial controls.
- To lead or be involved in education reorganisation processes, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and sensitively.
- Degree or equivalent, or relevant experience.
- Significant office experience, preferably within the education sector.
- Demonstrable and significant experience and knowledge of education place planning, admissions, and local and national policies.
- Ability to work with a wide range of team internal and external contacts at different levels in the public and private sector.
- Candidates should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- Candidates should have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires a basic DBS.
