School Planning Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled School Planning Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in Swindon to support the development of a long-term strategy for education planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Access and Provision Manager in researching and planning for future demand in education.
  • To ensure that commissioned activities are evidence-based and outcome-focused, with strong partnerships with stakeholders and other agencies.
  • To lead on statistical analysis of forecast information and present findings to Headteachers.
  • To ensure value for money and adherence to financial controls.
  • To lead or support education reorganisation processes, ensuring efficiency and sensitivity.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  • Significant office experience, preferably in the education sector.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of education place planning, admissions, and policies.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of team contacts at different levels.

  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Basic DBS required.
