Senior Project Manager Opportunity

Holt Recruitment is partnering with a global leader in space sustainability to find a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects within this exciting field.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and rapidly growing technology innovator that is making significant contributions to the growing problem of orbital space debris.

The project management team is responsible for maintaining the delicate balance of quality, cost, schedule, and risk to ensure the best possible outcomes for future missions and the wider business.

The company offers a hybrid working arrangement and flexible hours, and the successful candidate will join a team of highly talented engineers working on cutting-edge technology in a state-of-the-art office and cleanroom facility in Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and delivery of space missions (or aspects thereof) on complex engineering projects.
  2. Planning and delivery of project review gates, including management and production of associated deliverables.
  3. Definition and maintenance of an appropriate balance of quality, cost, schedule, and risk, whilst delivering projects and their associated outputs.
  4. Generation of project inputs to mission concept studies, technical or non-technical packages of work, and bid work, in support of the wider business.
  5. Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and programme partners as necessary in support of project, bids, or similar activities.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years experience in project or programme management, within the space or aerospace industries.
  2. Rounded technical project management skillset (delivery, schedule, financial, risk management, etc).
  3. Experience planning and completing project review gates (Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc).
  4. Experience working with spacecraft system and sub-system functional teams such as Guidance Navigation Control (GNC / AOCS), Command & Data Handling (C&DH / OBDH), Propulsion, Software, Ground Segment, Operations, Mechanical engineering, etc.
