Job Description

This senior pensions administrator role involves working on annual projects, such as renewals, benefit statements, and life assurance. You will be responsible for handling data processing tasks and ensuring projects are completed in line with customer and legislation requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participating in annual projects such as renewals, benefit statements, life assurance, PHI, and pension increases.
  • Monitoring ongoing procedural developments and implementing changes to procedures where required.
  • Informal training and mentoring of more junior members of the team.
  • Receiving and handling internal and external telephone queries.
  • Performing manual benefits calculations.
  • Producing ad-hoc letters using Electronic Document Management system (EDM).
  • Taking responsibility for ad-hoc projects and exercises.
  • Assisting the team with project-related work.
  • Updating relevant pension administration databases and systems.
  • Dealing with complex pensions queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous pensions administration experience of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
  • Graduate or good standard of education with minimum Grade C in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Experience of current pensions legislation and framework is essential.
  • IT proficient, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
