Job Summary

This role will lead the cross-portfolio delivery team for the Product Delivery and Operations area of Product and Platforms, which is part of the Digital sub-directorate of NHS England.

The Head of Delivery is responsible for coordinating the delivery of complex cross-portfolio initiatives across Product and Platforms, as exemplified by the Mobile First strategy and expanding across the wider scope of the Productivity Plan and emergent Spend Review plans.

Main Duties of the Job

The Head of Delivery will have responsibility for the following:

  • Providing leadership for cross-portfolio delivery of initiatives involving more than one product portfolio, Mobile First.
  • Building and maintaining a shared roadmap for delivery of cross-cutting initiatives.
  • Ensuring key deliverables on cross-cutting initiatives are met in line with ministerial expectations.
  • Working across delivery teams to ensure alignment between Product and Platforms delivery expectations, supporting Mobile First and other cross-cutting initiatives.
  • Coordinating briefings, information requests, and presentation materials required.
  • Managing dependencies, risks, and issues for cross-portfolio delivery.
  • Ensuring available funding is maximized across different portfolio workstreams for optimal delivery.
  • Providing progress reporting and updates against objectives and OKRs.
  • Representing the Deputy Director of Product Delivery and Operations at delivery meetings in NHSE.
