About the Role

Croda International Plc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at our Head Office in East Yorkshire. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for a portfolio of CAPEX Goods and Services, with a focus on delivering most cost-effective, high-quality, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial negotiation of CAPEX contracts, including supplier sourcing, facilitation of bids, negotiation of price, negotiation of terms and conditions to minimize Croda's risk exposure, contract execution, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to ensure delivery of optimum commercial outcomes without detriment to technical and SHEQ requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply chain.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of CAPEX procurement activities.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • An excellent communicator, capable of building effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Experience of strategic and tactical sourcing.
  • Knowledge and experience of contract management.
  • Understanding of market trends and industry norms.
  • Ability to communicate with, relate to, and influence a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of key contract clauses and ability to negotiate to minimize business risk exposure.
