Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Global is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join its Property and Workspace team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in health and safety regulations and risk management who can develop, implement and lead all aspects of its EHS Management System to ensure it is effective and protects the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and implementing initiatives that elevate the performance and management of risk.
  • Developing and delivering in-house training to promote practical risk management.
  • Creating and implementing appropriate and effective health and safety, fire and safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Conducting assurance monitoring of Global premises and contractors.
  • Working together with the Global Outdoor HSEQ department, Security and Workspace to manage the H&S risk register.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing new and upcoming safety legislation in the UK and across the EU to ensure that Global has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance and other requirements.
  • Helping create a group-wide culture focused on a safe, secure and healthy working environment for all working in partnership with senior managers across the business.
  • Identifying opportunities to save costs, be efficient with safety performance, develop third party relationships and explore innovative management solutions and market leading approaches.
  • Playing a central role coordinating wellbeing-focused programs within the business and being a key contributor to the company's networks, such as accessibility, mental health and others.
Requirements:
  • A comprehensive understanding and demonstrable experience of health and safety management, health and safety industry, guidelines and legislation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within the media entertainment industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of health & safety and fire regulations, risk management principles and insurance practices.
  • A Health and Safety qualification that meets the academic requirements for Certified membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or Membership of The International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).
  • Friendly and professional with a tireless work ethic towards ensuring that colleagues and building users are given an exemplary experience.
  • Diplomacy skills to handle complaints and emergencies in a level-headed manner.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft applications.
