Job Overview:

Hall & Kay Fire Engineering is seeking a skilled Sprinkler System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design engineering department, you will play a vital role in delivering complex fire protection and security solutions.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in sprinkler system design and engineering. Your primary responsibility will be to design and program sprinkler systems for various sectors on Main Contract projects. This includes developing designs through coordination with clients and other service contracts, contributing to design programs, and monitoring progress against construction timelines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Develop sprinkler system designs that meet or exceed client expectations, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits to inspect work-in-progress and ensure that all aspects of the project are completed to the highest standard.
  • Documentation: Prepare and issue completion documents, including certification and necessary information for preparation of working drawings.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication channels with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in sprinkler system design and engineering within the fire protection industry.
  • Education: HND or Degree qualification in a related field, such as construction engineering or fire safety.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of LPC BS EN 12845 rules, Factory Mutual Standards, and NFPA standards. Proficiency in Autocad and Revit 3D is desirable.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
