Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Central London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sprinkler system designs for various sectors on Main Contract projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate sprinkler system designs with client representatives and other service contracts.
  • Contribute to the design programme by monitoring progress against the construction programme and specification requirements.
  • Issue completion documents and certification.
  • Obtain necessary information from relevant parties for preparation of fully designed working drawings.
  • Attend site meetings to discuss design matters.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including hydraulic calculations.
  • List materials for procurement, estimating variations, and schedule of rates.
  • Forward drawings and quantities to suppliers and subcontractors for procurement purposes.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive experience in design engineering within the sprinkler industry.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with LPC BS EN 12845 rules.
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification and LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification (desirable).
  • Experience and proficiency in using Autocad and Revit 3D (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Factory Mutual Standards and NFPA standards (desirable).
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction/engineering design related topic (desirable).
  • Experience in managing, developing, mentoring, and leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
