Lead Our Kitchen Team as a Head Chef

Socialite Rooftop Restaurant and Bar, a modern and stylish all-day dining destination in the heart of Canterbury, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's menu specifications.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and kitchen management.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
