As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational functionality of laboratory instrument platforms to support our clients' science needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key equipment users, the wider engineering team, and suppliers to guarantee the optimal performance of laboratory equipment.
  • Develop and implement a proactive maintenance regime for the equipment to support our clients' customized platforms.
  • Work with scientific teams to make recommendations for optimizing system performance through service data insights.
  • Carry out ongoing system performance analysis based on error logs, live run interventions, and root-cause analysis & trending of errors to mitigate their reoccurrence.
  • Develop innovative support solutions that bring value to our customers.
  • Cross-train for wider engineering support within the onsite servicing team.
  • Take ownership of workload, parts inventory, safety, and quality compliance protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments in the field of Laboratory Automation.
  • Develop CBRE training packages based on the complex laboratory automation within the customer area that you support, aiming to increase overall system efficiencies through best use and maintenance practices.
  • Establish & maintain strong relationships with Vendor Service Organisations.
  • Receive external contractors, check H&S documentation, and hand over to end users.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintaining scientific laboratory instrumentation or automation technologies.
  • Pharmaceutical / Regulated working background.
  • Advanced Technical Skills in the field of expertise or experience of servicing scientific equipment.
  • Good understanding of device networking and communications protocols.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft tools skills.
