We are seeking a skilled Assistant Chef to join our team at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre, a purpose-built 63 bed care facility in Cheshire. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and Second Chef to provide a high-quality food service that meets the needs and preferences of our residents.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a care home or similar environment, with a strong understanding of specialised diets and service delivery. They will be able to contribute to the development of our four-week menu and complete records demonstrating adherence to legal requirements.

We offer a competitive salary of £11.50 per hour, paid for all staff regardless of age, and a full-time 38 hour contract with alternate weekend working. Our benefits package includes opportunities to progress through our career paths, bank holiday enhancements, 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum, paid DBS, uniform provided, paid training, refer a friend referral scheme, excellent induction programme, and ongoing support and training for nationally recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities include ensuring that menus are presented and displayed in a way that residents can understand them, providing meals in sufficient quantities to meet medical, ethnic and personal needs and preferences, and maintaining a high standard of infection control and adherence to the Food Standards Act 1999.
