Mercer is seeking a Senior Defined Contribution Pensions Consultant to join our specialist DC team in the delivery of DC services to a large portfolio of clients.

Mercer's Defined Contribution (DC) team is unrivalled and is the largest group of DC experts (including governance, scheme design, investment consultants, provider and technical researchers and technicians) in the UK. This exciting growth area of Mercer's UK business is a key strategic focus and delivers both successful pension and savings solutions for clients and career opportunities for our talented colleagues.

  • Build new and develop existing business through maintaining relationships, networking, attending events, seminars and being a knowledgeable expert in Defined Contribution.
  • Be responsible for Global DC management, helping clients analyse their plans both globally and locally, and optimising plan design features.
  • Clients will include corporate sponsors, trustee boards of trust-based schemes and governance committees of contract-based schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert in Defined Contribution Pensions.
  • Review calculations and work produced by junior consultants and analysts using Mercer software/tools.
  • Manage your own portfolio by assessing the performance, trends, business insights to ensure we are servicing our clients at the highest level.
  • Build new and develop existing business through maintaining relationships, networking, attending events, seminars and being a knowledgeable expert in DC.
  • Contribute to future strategy for the team, working with the leadership team and local business leaders from other lines of business.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and exceeding client expectations.
