About the Role:

The Vetting Researcher will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis of intelligence and information related to individuals requiring vetting, including applicants, current staff, contractors, volunteers, and non-police personnel.

Using various information systems, the researcher will evaluate and assess sensitive and confidential information to prepare vetting files for submission to the Force Vetting Officer.

The post holder will also provide administrative support to the team, manage incoming queries, and maintain contact with other vetting agencies and organizations for intelligence gathering and record-keeping purposes.

This role requires a high level of discretion and attention to detail, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of intelligence and information related to vetting
  • Evaluate and assess sensitive and confidential information
  • Prepare vetting files for submission to the Force Vetting Officer
  • Provide administrative support to the team
  • Maintain contact with other vetting agencies and organizations

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team

Working Arrangements:

This role is based at Police Headquarters, Winfrith, Dorset, and involves working as a Hybrid Worker, with some time spent working remotely and some in the employer's workspace.
