Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team at THC Recruitment. As a Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Risk in implementing and maintaining the risk management framework, fostering a culture of risk, while ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Risk in developing and maintaining risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics to proactively identify emerging risks, whilst escalating and reporting any deviations from established risk thresholds.
- Proactive maintenance of the Company risk register by carrying out comprehensive risk assessments.
- Identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities across various aspects of the business, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, financial risk, and compliance risk.
- Coordination of the completion of quarterly risk controls within the prescribed deadlines.
- Test the adequacy and effectiveness of first level controls performed by the business, identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions, where necessary.
- Maintain an up-to-date business continuity plan (BCP) and coordinate BCP testing activity at least twice per year.
- Collaborate with the Head of Risk to develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures tailored for various business lines.
- Assist with both internal and external fraud investigations where required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive or financial services.
- Knowledge of the regulatory regime and the requirements and guidance issued by the regulatory bodies is desirable.
- Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or other relevant professional certifications is desirable.
