Aerospace Fuel System Specialist

About the Role
The role of an aerospace fuel system specialist is crucial in ensuring the continued airworthiness and product development of aircraft systems. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for engineering activities associated with fuel system design, verification, and validation.
Salary and Location
The estimated salary for this position is £43.47 Ph PAYE + Holiday pay or £57.50 ph Umbrella, depending on the chosen payment method. The location of the job is Filton, with a minimum requirement of 3 days on-site work per week.
Responsibilities
You will support the review of new equipment design evolution sheets from suppliers, specification updates, and qualification of equipment due to scope creep of requirements in service. Additionally, you will provide inputs to modifications required for the development of the system, including engineer variant changes, performance changes, and changes related to equipment updates. Furthermore, you will work on problem investigation support, including major in-service problems, request for works, and safety-related items that support in-service occurrences.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have experience within aviation/aerospace and avionics fuel systems experience. You should also possess the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, teams across the project, and the wider team. Real-time system controlling using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and requirement writing are essential skills. Avionic fuel systems experience, MATLAB function knowledge, and project management experience are desirable but not mandatory.
