About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at The St Leonards Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and achievement of our pupils, particularly those who receive Pupil Premium funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to pupils in small groups and on an individual basis, focusing on their specific needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement engaging and stimulating activities that promote learning and confidence in pupils.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a teaching or support role, with a strong track record of supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of our pupils.
