About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Hydrology, Environmental Management, and Civil Engineering, as well as extensive experience in Hydrology, Hydraulic Modelling, Flood Risk, Water Quality, and Pollution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications, including the evaluation of flood risk and the development of mitigation strategies.
  2. Flood Estimation using FEH and Winfap, including the analysis of flood data and the development of flood risk models.
  3. Water Framework Directive Assessments, including the evaluation of water quality and the development of strategies to improve water quality.
  4. Water Quality Assessments, including the evaluation of water quality and the development of strategies to improve water quality.
  5. Nutrient Neutrality Assessments, including the evaluation of nutrient levels and the development of strategies to improve water quality.
  6. Hydrological Assessments, including the evaluation of hydrological data and the development of strategies to improve flood risk management.
  7. Surface Water Management Plans and Catchment Management Plans, including the development of strategies to manage surface water and improve flood risk management.
  8. Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro and Tuflow, including the analysis of flood data and the development of flood risk models.
  9. Drainage Strategies, including the development of strategies to improve drainage and reduce flood risk.
  10. Training and Mentoring of junior team members, including the development of training programs and the provision of guidance and support.
