About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Substance Misuse Specialist. As a key member of our Recovery Near You service, you will work with adults aged 18+ to reduce substance misuse through psychosocial interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support clients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support services.
  • Conduct assessments, interventions, and case management to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).
  • Experience of working in the substance misuse field, with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.
  • Good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, as well as the ability to liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals.
  • A flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality, and the ability to write client records and report and fulfill data requirements.
