About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Private Sector Housing Assistant to join our Strategic Housing Service team at Chelmsford City Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Private Sector Housing Officer in acquiring private owned homes to meet the Council's duties to those at risk of homelessness.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of people from all sectors of the community in a persuasive manner.
  • Utilize excellent administrative and IT skills to manage tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge and experience of working in the housing/property sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a front-line, customer-facing role.
  • Flexibility to work a 37-hour week with a flexible working pattern to fit business needs and work-life balance.
