Model Risk Officer, VP/ Director

As a Model Risk Officer, VP/ Director at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of model risk across the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of risk management principles and experience in model risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure effective model risk management.
- Support RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk related topics.
- Elevate questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to MRM and ALM central teams.
- Collaborate with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes and trends.
- Communicate good practices and guidance from MRM and ALM central teams to local model users and ALM model reviewers.
- Support the local ALM team in their review of ALM models.
- Broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Autonomous and raises alerts appropriately to management.
- Experience in previous roles on Risk management and ideally on Model Risk.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Some familiarity with French is an asset.
