Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer

Site Based / Office / Remote: This role is predominantly based in Ellesmere Port, with occasional site visits required and up to 2 days per week WFH
Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic EC&I Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing clear and concise drawing and document packs for hazardous areas installations
- Carrying out cable calculations, I.S Loop Calculations (DSDs), AC and DC load schedules, lighting calculations and thermal capacity calculations
- Advising junior EC&I design engineers on engineering principles and guidelines
- Representing the company at client meetings and site visits
- Working closely with site-based engineers and commissioning engineers to improve standards and bridge the gap between design and maintenance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years' experience in EC&I design, ideally degree qualified or time-served apprenticeship
- Demonstrable experience working on designs for hazardous areas installations and CompEX EX01-EX04 and/or EX12 modules
- Knowledge and experience of electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 (18th Edition)
